Your Privacy is important to us. DefendFairUse.org and The Computer & Communications Industry Association (CCIA) respect your online privacy.

We don not use cookies to collect any information about visitors to our websites.

We do not share, rent or sell any information about visitors to our websites to any third party. We collect aggregate information site-wide, including anonymous site statistics. We may log domain names and/or IP addresses. On certain pages such as the Protect Fair Use Letter page, we give users the opportunity to provide us with names, addresses, telephone numbers, email addresses or other personal information. We collect this information only with the user's knowledge and permission.

DefendFairUse.org and CCIA's websites do not store any information about its visitors other than basic logging for site statistics (machine addresses, not personal email addresses) and information provided by users who fill out our online letter form. We don't compile audit trails of which users browse which pages.

If you choose to provide us with your email address, we may email you at strategically important times. We do not send email to you on a scheduled basis. DefendFairUse.org and CCIA databases are under the complete control of CCIA. They will not be shared, rented or sold to any third party, and they are password protected.

If you choose to send any government office or official correspondence through our website and to provide us with a copy of your communication, we may show a copy of the communication to Members of Congress, congressional staffers or other government officials. We may also use your communication as an exhibit at a hearing or other public discussion, or we may quote from it in our educational materials. Also, we may include your name on a list of Protect Fair Use supporters that we make public.
